Why you do not need to be flexible to start yoga
Flexibility is something yoga can build. It is not a requirement for walking into your first class.
A beginner class starts with simple movement and clear instructions. You are shown where to place your hands and feet, when to pause, and what to do when a position does not suit your body that day.
Our beginner yoga classes and Hatha yoga classes move slowly enough for you to understand each position. Gentle yoga is another option when you want more support or less effort.
The studio is deliberately minimal. Not because minimal looks good in photos, but because most people arrive with a head full of everything else, and a room with nothing in it is easier to put that down in.
Come ten minutes early and tell the instructor if anything hurts. Mats are provided, or bring your own if you prefer. You can rest whenever you need to.
